For the Birds was an original board game created during the first conceptual Game Design class of my curriculum, inspired by roguelike dungeon-crawlers such as Slay the Spire and Backpack Hero. 
I was primarily tasked with the creation of card concepts, mechanics such as Block and Venom, as well as balance changes to further refine the game.
I worked together with a group of 4 other students to design a board game from the ground up, with the intention of adapting it into a digital game later on. As a result of the limited scope of the assignment, asset creation was limited to tools needed to play the board game version, and very few pieces of concept art to show the creative vision for the eventual adaptation.
